lace-space asked: It bugs me when people say Don only loves himself or is incapable of real love or whatnot. Does no one remember Anna? It may have not been romantic love but it was definitely real.

kristen76 asked: Is anon kidding? Don HATES himself. If he loved himself, he would stay with a strong woman like Faye who could actually improve his life. As it is, he's utterly threatened by any kind of strength in a woman.

carnivalesques asked: What a surprise, most people hate a female character en masse. Can I ask, why do you find Megan 'vile'? She's young, intelligent and beautiful. Is it just that she's had the misfortune to be paired with Don that people have such a strong reaction to her? I think the show intentionally poked fun at her overeagerness to please Don (and we, as viewers inwardly cringed along with...

Watching ‘Mad Men’ With My Mother →
To a woman who came of age in the early 60s, the stylish nostalgia of “Mad Men” isn’t glamorous; it’s painful.

transe-exquise asked: If you haven't read it already, there is a really good piece in the New York Times titled 'Watching ‘Mad Men’ With My Mother' - I can't send links, so just google it - by Elisabeth Donnelly. It's worth a read.
Anonymous asked: It's striking to me that people can't see that there's fundamentally no difference between the two of them, but I guess that explains a lot of things.

I love this show more than life itself, but here is the problem with Don now. We know he dooms himself and his relationships, ALL of them, so I feel like I’m just in this waiting game this season to see how yet another one of his relationships, Megan, fails. There’s almost no mystery to it except HOW it will fail. So if we get to the end of this marriage, what will have been the...

mcharrilennostarr asked: What's wrong with fans voicing their opinions about the characters? This is far from a Megan hate blog. lol.

I take so much offense to “megan is vile”. Megan is youthful and understands what is worthy and unworthy of freaking out over. Betty has consistently acted like a helpless puppy and taken it out on everyone around her instead of doing something for herself. Betty is vile but not beyond being redeemed, she just needs to take responsibility for herself. Megans flaw is that she is just a...

ladydelirium-deactivated2012111 asked: idk, I think it's possible to have sympathy for Betty and Megan. I still don't know about I feel about the latter, but being married to Don will certainly not be easy!
Anonymous asked: is this just a megan hate blog now?

Anonymous asked: It annoys me so much that all the fans who think Megan's perfect are the same ones who hate Betty for being flawed. So it's okay for Megan to be a manipulator and a drama queen but not for Betty, the woman Don treated so terribly, to be messed up? I'm sure the Betty hate will be worse than ever after next weeks episode, where she's sure to be unfavorably compared to Megan.

Anonymous asked: I hope you're right about Don and Joan, but the flashback with her and Roger in Waldorf Stories was already a contradiction. In s1 Roger implied tha they had been sleeping together for a year, and then we found out their affair dated before Don being at Sterling Coo? So he might do another, similar retcon (even if I really hope he doesn't)

pegsolson asked: Do you think Roger and Joan will end up together?

Anonymous asked: I think it's hilarious that anybody thinks Megan is naive. She's a manipulator who knows exactly how to get what she wants. She's anything but naive! I think she'll get bored with Don eventually and move on. The age difference between them will just be too much once the sex wears off.
Anonymous asked: I have an awful feeling that Weiner is going to make it that Don and Joan used to be romantically involved even though Joan said in season 1 that nothing ever happened between them. I'm going to be SO annoyed if this happens.
