I agree about less of Don’s love life this season. It’s inevitably not exciting because you know he’s just going to screw it up and it’s becoming a redundant pattern. That said, while a Don/Pegs pairing could jump the shark, the only way it wouldn’t jump the shark is if it happened season 7, and actually allowed the two of them to be happy with another human being. They’ve put so much time, effort, and care into their relationship, that maybe it would be novel to see them succeed at intimacy with another person, i.e. each other. And reactions from other SCDP’ers alone might be worth the price of admission.
